About
With over 20 years of diverse nursing experience, Sheridan Porter, FNP-C, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner committed to delivering compassionate and comprehensive care. Sheridan began her nursing journey in 2005 with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Northland Pioneer College in Show Low, AZ. She later earned a Bachelor’s and eventually a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a focus on Leadership and Management from Western Governors University in 2020 and recently completed her post-graduate Family Nurse Practitioner certification at Herzing University in Milwaukee, WI. She holds board certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Throughout her career, Sheridan has developed a broad foundation in acute care, leadership, education, and hospice. She is certified as a Medical-Surgical RN (CMSRN) and a Neuroscience RN (CNRN). Sheridan is an active member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN), and the AANP. Sheridan’s professional strengths and interests are centered around cardiovascular health, particularly in managing conditions like heart failure. She is driven to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life through evidence-based practice. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, sports, and having fun with her large family.
