Nicolette Owens, FNP received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2013 and her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2021 from the University of Phoenix.
Nicolette has over 12 years of healthcare experience. She started her career in healthcare working as a nursing assistant for a private home health company as well as the emergency room at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, while completing her bachelor’s degree. She has 8 years of Emergency Room and acute care nursing experience with specific emphasis on stroke care. She was a part of the founding team that started the mobile Barrow Emergency Stroke Treatment Unit created by the prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute. That project provided her with special training and certification in Emergency Neurological Life Support and NIHSS stroke assessment and her team received an innovation award for the project in 2018-2019. Nicolette is now a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the Arizona Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, National Society of Leadership and Success, and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Nicolette was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Outside of healthcare, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, yoga, trying new restaurants, listening to live music and above all, wine tasting in Napa and Sonoma, California.
