Dr. Daniel Abelev is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals and families of all ages. He earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2020 and completed his residency in Family and Community Medicine at Penn State Health in 2023, where he was honored with the Resident Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Abelev is also an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
With over 13 years of experience in healthcare across a variety of clinical settings, Dr. Abelev brings a well-rounded and thoughtful approach to primary care. His training during the COVID-19 pandemic helped shape his resilience, adaptability, and commitment to supporting patients through challenging times. For the past several years, he has proudly served the Phoenix community, delivering personalized, high-quality care focused on prevention, wellness, and long-term health.
Dr. Abelev is known for his strong communication skills, empathetic approach, and attention to detail. He believes in treating the whole person—not just the condition—by building meaningful relationships with his patients and ensuring they feel heard, supported, and informed every step of the way. His dedication to thorough follow-up and collaborative care helps patients confidently navigate their health journey.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Abelev has contributed to medical literature, including publications on allergic rhinitis and a case report on thyrotoxic periodic paralysis. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, participating in community service, traveling on road trips, and swimming.
