Dr. Tung completed his training in Anesthesiology at Medical College Virginia Hospitals, Virginia Commonwealth University. He went on to complete an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the same institute. He served as the Chief Resident in his final year of residency and received the Paul C. Boyan Award for “Slickest Clinician” in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals. Dr. Tung was visiting assistant professor at the University of Texas-Houston Medical School, Department of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Tung is fellowship trained in all areas and techniques of pain management including interventional pain management and medication management. Dr.Tung specializes in nonsurgical spine intervention and spinal injection techniques including Lumbar, Thoracic and Cervical Epidural injections; Lumbar, Thoracic, and Cervical Facet Joint Injections; Lumbar, Thoracic and Cervical Facet Radiofrequency Neurotomy; Sympathetic blocks; Spinal Cord Stimulators; Discograms; Vertebroplasty; Percutaneous Disc Neucleoplasty; and Peripheral nerve blocks. Dr. Tung founded West Valley Pain Management in 2004.

He currently serves as the Chairman of the Department of Pain Management for Integrated Medical Services.
