Dr. Jones is a podiatrist who is trained in treating a multitude of foot and ankle conditions including: bunions, hammertoes, plantar warts, ingrown toe-nails, heel pain, arthritis, leg swelling, diabetic foot ulcers, infections, among others. He has a special interest in the diabetic foot with emphasis on prevention of wounds, infections, and amputations. He treats all wounds of the lower extremity and has a passion for healing these wounds as quickly as possible.

Dr. Jones grew up in a small farming community in Idaho and after high school he did his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho, majoring in human biology with minors in chemistry and Spanish. He then completed 4 years of podiatry school at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, California. After this, he completed an intensive 3-year residency program at Maricopa Medical center and was trained in foot and ankle surgery, with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle accreditation. During residency, he had the opportunity of spending significant time rotating on specialties outside of the foot and ankle, including vascular surgery, internal medicine, infectious disease, and burn surgery. These unique rotations impressed upon him the importance of a multi-specialty approach to treating patient’s—especially those with lower extremity wounds.

He strongly believes in preventative medicine and helping patients avoid surgery whenever possible. He also believes in the importance of good patient-doctor communication, which is critical to establish common goals and expectations. Patient education and understanding is absolutely critical in the treatment process.

In his free time, he loves to travel and recently visited Israel, Thailand, and Argentina. He also loves to golf and about every other outdoor activity. He has three brothers and three sisters and loves spending time with family whenever possible.
