Dr. Mark Schippits

Dr. Mark Schippits joined IMS in 2018 and serves as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO). In this role, a position shared with the Arizona Care Network (ACN), Dr. Schippits serves as the key physician leader bridging IT, analytics, clinical performance, healthcare systems and providers. Dr. Schippits will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing technology initiatives, lead the implementation, deployment and integration of a new ambulatory EMR and drive performance optimization on value-based contract metrics. In the CMIO role, Dr. Schippits will continue empowering clinicians, improving healthcare delivery and extending the clinical value of the EHR. Prior to joining IMS, Dr. Schippits served as CMIO at Heartland Health, Director of Clinical Informatics at University Hospitals Cleveland and Chief Technology Officer/M2Gen Director Clinical Informatics at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. Dr. Schippits received his Fellowship in Medical Informatics from Yale University, completed his Internal Medicine Residency from the University of Chicago and received his MD from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
