Catherine Lightfoot, FNP
Catherine (Catie) Lightfoot MSN, FNP-C was born and raised in Iowa. Catie started her career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the perioperative setting while attending nursing school. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, and began working as an RN on a Surgical Care/Trauma Care unit for five years. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialty. Her clinical experience includes: Family Medicine, Inpatient Hospital Care, Pediatric ER and Primary Care, Women's Health, Dermatology, Urgent Care, and care to the medically underserved and vulnerable populations.
Catie is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and also holds a certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a board-certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Nurses Honor Society, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Catie is committed to improving the lives of her patients through quality, patient-centered health care. She is passionate about getting to know her patients and their needs. She strongly believes in providing education and guidance to patients so they may be informed and empowered to make healthy choices. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages, from children to geriatric.
Outside of her job in healthcare, Catie enjoys spending time with her husband, Dylan, and their two dogs, Murphy and Sherman. Together they enjoy exercising, hiking, reading, cooking, gardening, and traveling together.
