Adalivia Resendiz-Casas, DNP
Adalivia Resendiz-Casas began her career in health care as a nursing assistant in long-term care. She worked full-time while she obtained both her Licensed Practical Nurse certification and her Associates Degree in Nursing from Central Alabama Community College. As a registered nurse, she worked at two small community hospitals. She then attended Grand Canyon University for her Bachelors in Nursing, having graduated summa cum laude. Adalivia then decided she would become an advanced practice nurse and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Arizona State University, magna cum laude.
During her graduate studies, she was invited to join Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, became a Rural Health Professions Program Fellow, and earned the Stella B. Donahie endowment from the ASU Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Adalivia is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and is Board Certified as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Adalivia enjoys caring for adults with gastroenterology disorders, an interest that arose after spending seven years working as an endoscopy nurse, and then flourished upon the completion of various rotations with gastroenterologists throughout Arizona. Her priority is to establish and maintain exceptional rapport with each one of her patients as she provides them with the most current and evidenced-based care.
